Jenn McLean is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England where she received extensive training on a range of child, adolescent, adult, and family issues, including psychological and neuropsychological assessment of learning disorders, ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, and autism spectrum disorders. Jenn’s internship at the Franciscan Hospital for Children had a primary rotation in the Community-Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) program, a residential setting designed to provide short-term crisis stabilization and support for children and young teens who are actively in acute emotional and behavioral crisis. She also provided outpatient therapy and assessment to children, adolescents, and their families. Jenn completed several years of training, including her postdoctoral training, at the Walker School, a K-8 therapeutic day, residential, and hospital diversion program, working with children with complex developmental challenges, chronic mental illness, and trauma histories. Jenn also trained at the Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk where she conducted cognitive developmental assessments at the Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinic and provided therapy services to young children and families.
Prior to embarking on her career as a clinical psychologist, Jenn earned her bachelor’s degree at Swarthmore College and her master’s in education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Jenn was a teacher and school administrator for many years in both independent and public elementary and middle school settings. Her deep knowledge of development, learning, teaching, and educational settings and systems informs and enriches all of her work.
In addition to private practice, Jenn consults at two area independent schools and teaches doctoral courses in the clinical psychology department at Antioch University New England. Although Jenn shares office space with other practitioners, her private practice is a sole proprietorship and she operates independently.
