People seek therapy for myriad reasons: they need support in exploring identity and roles, making a transition, managing stress, meeting goals, trying something new, or navigating relationships. They may have suffered a loss or have bumped up against life challenges they can’t seem to overcome. Whether you are new to therapy, or have prior experience, there are many options in terms of professionals and approaches. Taking the time to find a professional who is a good fit and whose approach has resonance for you is important.

Children and Adolescents
Sometimes kids and teens need a safe place to work through feelings and learn strategies to cope with a variety of emotions and experiences. The inner lives of children are rich and complex, and they can struggle with emotional and behavioral issues as they navigate developmental tasks and life circumstances. Jenn provides individual therapy to children and adolescents with ongoing consultation with their parents. Whenever possible, she collaborates with teachers, advisors, and other medical providers. A coordinated team of adults working together will maximize the child’s personal, social, and academic success. Jenn takes an integrative approach to her work with this population, and she has specialized training in play therapy, which allows children to explore challenges and emotions through the language of play.
Parent Consultations
Jenn consults with the parents of all of the children and adolescents she works with to some degree. However, there are situations for which parent consultation alone can be useful. Jenn can work as a partner and resource to parents who are facing challenges specific to parenting. Parenting sessions allow you to work one-on-one with Jenn to explore this complex role, gain support, develop a deeper relationship with your child, and foster your child’s wellbeing.
